Holiday Magic

Throughout the month of December, Victoria Park is lit with Christmas magic. The romantic, family-friendly destination is a must during your stay in London with the lights blazing from 6:30 – 11 p.m. nightly. The Promenade Deck is one of the best spots to view the lights. From the 12th floor of City Hall, you can really take it all in. Pack some cocoa and gingerbread cookies to really make the outing special.

The Children’s Festival and Parade, held the second Saturday of December, offers fun for the whole family. Meet and greet with Santa himself, enjoy games and crafts, and bring a non-perishable food item for free entry. The event starts at 2 p.m. at 1983 Dundras Street in London. Choose your spot along the route, anywhere from Home Depot to Crabby Joes.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

On the first Friday in December, the Forest City Singers host their annual Ring the Bells! event. A variety of popular Christmas music gets everyone into the holiday spirit. Sing along from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Siloam United Church. Tickets are $15 for adults, and children ages 12 and under can enjoy the show for free.

There’s also the Comfort and Joy event at the Metropolitan United Church in London, or the Sure on this Shining Night festival at New St. James Presbyterian Church on that first Friday. From Christmas Tea at Riverside United Church on the first Saturday to the Festival of Carols, there are plenty of options to get your holiday music fix in London.

Where will the holiday spirit take you?
