Home County Music and Art Festival
From July 15-17 at Victoria Park in London, the annual Home County Music and Art Festival takes place. What began in 1974 as a quaint folk festival has become a three-day party with live musical performances from the country’s leading artists. The juried craft show is an event some contestants prep for all year, and attendees can go from booth to booth to see pottery, jewelry, metal works, photography, glass artistry, and textiles for sale. Many Canadian artists flock to the festival to showcase their crafts in the demo area.
You’ll also discover over 30 food vendors offering a myriad of cuisines and dishes. Pick up a delectable entrée or sweet dessert, then head to the family area where kids can play and everyone can enjoy the music. This year’s lineup includes scores of performers including Dirty Dishes, The Ennis Sisters, Harrow Fair and Hunter & Doe. Check out the full schedule here.
A 3-Day Party
Food vendors for 2016 include All Smoked Up with hot dogs and burgers, The Beet Café with their famous tacos and mac and cheese, Divine Chicken with Wine (the name says it all) and Di’s Fries along with Di’s Funnel Cakes. Try the Carmelcrisp from Anne’s and the fresh fruit smoothies from the Original Tiki Bar.
There are too many craft vendors to shake a sparkly stick at, but a few highlights are Belle River Candles, Pixie by Design, The Bookmark Lady, and Through Sky and Sea. Come see all the booths, and bring the family for a treat like no other!
